'Working together to promote premier, multi-disciplinary research and development in the area of minerals beneficiation'

Fundamental Research

The fundamental research portfolio is currently science and technology based (Levels 1 and 2), aimed at developing an understanding of the underlying physical and chemical principles that govern processes within the minerals extraction and beneficiation chain and their interactions with, or which impact on, the remainder of the system. Fundamental research projects include techniques and methodologies from the fields of electrochemistry, mineralogy, rheology, and turbulent multiphase processing, amongst others.
