PhD Project title

Modelling of Ion exchange resin degradation
(Duration: 2010 to 2015)
This project is about understanding the effect resin decay has on transport phenomena inside the resin. The decay of resins in cyclic duty is a well-documented phenomenon. However, it is little understood. There are now many expensive resins on the market and the viability of recovery projects for these resins could be seriously impeded if there is a lack of understanding of what happens during the decay process of the resin.
